Workshop: Historical roots of quantum gravity research

There is an upcoming workshop on “Historical Roots of Quantum Gravity Research” that the Einstein Paper Project at Caltech is organizing together with the History of Quantum Physics group at the Max-Planck-Institute for the History of Science in Berlin. It will take place in
Pasadena, August 10-12, at the Einstein Papers Project, see the attached flyer or:

The idea of the workshop is not a presentation of finished research but rather that of a few days of informal joint work in the style of a reading group. We intend to take a close look at early key contributions to the problem of quantum gravity by O. Klein, L. Rosenfeld, M.P. Bronstein, P. Bergmann, B.S. De Witt, S. Gupta, C. Misner, P. Dirac, R. Feynman, and others. The workshop is intended to be an incipient meeting for future research on the subject by some of the participants.
